Golden Hour Styled Shoot in San Marcos | Austin Florist

Styled shoots are a great way to meet vendors, try new techniques, and show potential couples all the options available they may not have seen before. Here, our goal was to showcase what a luxury fall wedding in the Texas Hill Country could look like.

This styled shoot was absolutely my baby, with a 14 page moodboard and a strong vision for what I knew the venue could look like, we partnered with Posey Meadows in San Marcos to show how luxurious a wedding can look with the right vision. Let’s break down a few of the best moments.

The first thing you see from this venue is a stunning fountain- and there aren’t many places in Central Texas to get a really traditional, elegant fountain moment. No one had ever really showcased what I consider to be one of THE best features- so this photo is my pride and joy. Posey Meadows is full of lush, native landscaping, and every time I’ve been there, I’ve been greeted with the prettiest assortment of butterflies, and I really wanted to capture that energy in a very man-made way here.

We focused on grouping flowers by type, with lots of lush greenery to echo the heritage oaks in the background of the image and surrounding the property. I also wanted a palette that would work with the existing tones in the native plants (see above), so that nothing had a chance of competing.

The landscaping here was such an inspiration, and it made for the best photos in my portfolio so far. I incorporated my own natives into the work to really tie the bow on the whole look.
